ALNO, THE COMPANY
Known for the fine quality of his handmade furniture, Albert Nothdurft opened his small carpentry shop in 1927.  Today, ALNO has grown to be the largest manufacturer in Europe and as such is recognized the world over for quality manufacturing, advanced technologies and high-design.  From Mr Nothdurft’s humble beginnings, Alno has continued to create elegant kitchens of form and function that are the very essence of simplified living. 

THE PRODUCT

FACTS AT A GLANCE

CARCASE:
Construction:  All carcase sides, tops and bottoms are made of 16mm, triple layer chipboard with a white melamine resin coating on both sides.  All edges are sealed.
Uniformity:  The tops, undersides and leading edges of all wall units are color coordinated to match carcase color so as to give all visible surfaces a uniform appearance.
Carcase Depths:  Base units are available in 3 standard depths; 41cm, 56cm and 71cm.  Note: 71cm units can result in an increase of storage space up to 38% over conventional base elements.
Emissions: The use of carefully selected materials has made it possible to reduce emissions to below the DIN standard of 0.1ppm required for E1 approval.
BASE UNITS:
Drawers: 

• All drawers and pullouts are equipped with a full-extension pull-out system.  Drawers operate on an intelligent steel runner system. 
• The high-grade runner system guarantees silent and effortless operation (tested over 100,000 times) as well as maximum load-bearing capacity of 70lbs. 
• All drawers and pullouts, in the ALNO professional series, come standard with a Serve-soft self-closing function. 
• All drawers can be adjusted in 3 directions with easy access points. 
• Drawer fronts can be removed with little effort. 
• The ALNO runner is designed to wrap around the bottom of drawer to minimize the joint between the bottom and drawer side. 
• The rounded interior corners of the drawer allow for cleaning and optimum hygiene.

Plinth: 

• All base units are fitted with shock and moisture resistant plinth feet. 
• Plinth is available in standard heights of 10cm, 13.5cm, 17cm and 22cm. 
• Plinth covers are provided with matching corner returns and connecting plates.  The Plinth panel is designed for easy attachment and removal. 
• The Plinth panel is equipped with a transparent waterproof seal at the floor.

            WALL UNITS                                                                             
Shelves: 

• All shelves are 16cm thick for units up to 80cm and 19cm for wider units. 
• All wall unit shelves are melamine resin coated for ease of cleaning, with laminated front edge and edge taped on the sides and back for moisture proofing. 
• All shelves rest on height-adjustable metal pegs and they cannot be pulled out accidentally.  Maximum self weight is 110lbs.

Hinges: 

• Self-closing, three-way adjustable, maintaince-free, all metal hinge, tested to 100,000 openings and closings. 
• 107° opening gives complete access to cabinet interior.  170° hinge available upon request.

Mounting System:

• All wall units are equipped with mounting elements cancelled behind the back of the wall unit. 
• Each pair of hanging devices can hold a maximum weight of 285lbs.
• Quick and easy installation is ensured by means of a steel batten. 
• The hanging mechanism is adjustable in three directions.
